I’m Markus Aaltonen, a film and television editor based in Helsinki.
I work with directors and production companies on documentaries and unscripted series — shaping complex material into stories with clarity, rhythm and room for the people at their heart.
Alongside editing, I develop and write scripted television — including Tuurenmäki 98, co-created with my brother Janne.

Background
My background spans editing, camera work and post-production. I have worked in audiovisual production since 2005 and through Maa Films since 2011.
Alongside documentary and unscripted television, my work includes short films and music videos. With my brother Janne, I also develop original television through Aaltonen Brothers.
